Travels with Chiclet is written by Julia Bayly, the human half of this traveling duo. Bayly is an award-winning journalist, freelance travel writer/photographer and features writer for The Bangor Daily News where her column also appears biweekly on Fridays. Chiclet is a pint-sized Chihuahua/Yorkie mix originally from Louisiana where she was rescued from a high kill shelter.  Julia and Chiclet live in northern Maine along the Canadian border along with a flock of chickens, some retired sled dogs and a rather curmudgeonly old cat.
